I am taking the opportunity to provide you with feedback on your agent, Betty Cheek, who has been working with us since our initial search for a home in the Toccoa, Georgia area began almost a year ago.

The search was not a year long, rather just a couple of months. In that time, we made a couple of visits to the area and spent several days with Betty viewing available properties and communities in the area. We were fixed on waterfront property and Betty obviously has a great deal of experience with such homes.

Betty's professionalism, friendly attitude and extremely helpful nature were and continue to be a tremendous resource to us. i want to emphasize "continues", because she is still always available to us. We have bought and sold over 10 properties during our marriage and must unequivocally say, Betty is the best agent we have ever dealt with. Your company should be proud and grateful that she is one of your finest assets.

This purchase was unique for us as Betty was also the seller's representative on the transaction. She carefully explained all the requirements and ramifications of the situation to us prior to us visiting and considering the home we purchased. Betty maintained the highest level of professionalism throughout the transaction from our perspective and we believe the seller would say the same. It was a 'tight wire" she had to walk, but she handled every step with clarity, poise, balance and a professional demeanor that I am not sure many people can exhibit.

There were negotiations between us and the seller. There were inspection points that had to be negotiated and resolved. Betty has many extremely capable resources for doing inspections, completing checklist items and handling legal and administrative issues, which was very, very helpful to both the seller and us. Those individuals/companies really like her and reacted immediately to assist in any way. This clearly expedited the closing process

Her contacts with the Corps of Engineers, insurance providers, attorneysj etc. were all instrumentai in insuring this transaction was completed in a rapid and easy manner. In addition, her personal understanding of the hurdles we had to get over in getting our financing in place was invaluable- We were the first customer of Key Bank's mortgage business in Georgia and the bank's learning curve created several obstacles, including the issue of flood insurance. With Bety's assistance, we were able to get all these issues resolved. Key Bank should actually be thanking Betty, as well.

The most impressive part of Betty's service/involvement has been the fact that her assistance never stops. She is always available to help us find someone to do repairs and improvements, negotiate the "red tape" of the local governments, and find sources for personal items. She has made the transition to new home and community, so much easier than we ever deemed possible.

There is no question, that we were extremely fortunate to find Betty to assist and represent us in the search for a new home. I am certain the sellers are very happy as their sale was pretty quick for a house in this price range. They were lucky that Betty has customers who are capable and anxious to buy and sell in this price range.

We would be thrilled to have Betty represent us if we ever decide to sell this home.
